Local and international patients insured with Momentum, can now benefit from cashless access to world-class healthcare at Apollo Bramwell Hospital.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed recently between the hospital and the South African-based health insurance administrator will facilitate access to comprehensive and integrated services that include dedicated Centres for Heart, Kidney and Urology, Neuroscience, Eye, Diabetology and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Woman and Child Health.
The agreement allows Momentum Mauritius to settle inpatient bills directly leaving insured patients to focus on getting well.
“The new agreement will greatly facilitate access of our clients to a renowned healthcare provider on the island, since the payment will be directly settled by Momentum. For patients travelling from Africa to Mauritius in particular, it will reduce the hassle of transferring funds or making provisions for cash,” said Kirk Varaden, Managing Director of Momentum Mauritius.
Momentum is the third largest insurance company in the African region, which has just launched an international product aimed at expatriates living on the continent or international clients coming to Mauritius for business or on holiday.
Apollo Bramwell Hospital has already developed partnerships with a number of international insurance companies. This includes Vanbreda International, a market leader in the development and administration of cross-border health insurance, BUPA International, the world's leading expatriate health insurer and the Caisse des Français de L’Etranger (CFE), which caters for French expatriates.
