Apollo Bramwell Hospital provides the full array of services expected of a Super Specialty Tertiary Care Hospital of international standards.
The Apollo Bramwell Hospital business model is based upon the consolidation of products, services and activities into discrete Strategic Business Units (SBU) we call “Centers of Excellence”. By definition, Centers of Excellence are discrete operations units wherein services and service delivery processes are designed and delivered in a manner that demonstrates “Best Practice” and highest current Standards of Care. ABH offers comprehensive and integrated services through the following Centers of Excellence:
• Heart Centre
• Kidney and Urology Centre
• Neuroscience Centre
• Eye Centre
• Diabetology and Endocrinology Centre
• Bone and Joint Centre
• Health and Wellness Centre
• Woman and Child Health Centre
A “Best Practices” and highest current Standards of Care orientation for ABH means the application of Evidence-based Medicine and the use of Clinical Pathways in each Center of Excellence to ensure that the patient receives the right care at the right time. Evidence-based Medicine dictates that we provide services in a manner consistent with practices that have been demonstrated to provide consistently positive patient outcomes with empirical documentation. This approach means that patients, referring physicians, payers, and the public can anticipate quality service with consistency from one encounter to the next.
This notion is reinforced by our adherence to Clinical Pathways down from documented resources in the international medical community which have been reviewed and modified by our Medical Staff so as to reflect our unique conviction and understanding of the environment and medical marketplace in Mauritius, the Region and internationally.
The ABH Centers of Excellence are distinguished by their individual orientation to a full-spectrum Continuum of Care. This orientation means that each Center has been designed to provide services at any stage of related medical needs experienced by the patient.
This includes for each Center: Education and Prevention, Acute and Chronic Care, Rehabilitation, and Maintenance Care.
The power of the Centers of Excellence as a business model is that it enables ABH to maintain its Customers (Patients, Physicians, Payers and the Public). Once within our health care service delivery system, a Customer will likely be able to obtain any required service.
Where ABH may not be able to directly provide a service, our inclusion in the Apollo network means that we can refer our Customers to a related organization which is equally committed to international standards of health care. |
